Ken Fordyce is Director of Operations and Head Engineer at Mirror Sound Studio in Seattle (Shoreline), WA. Ken's experience extends back  to Berklee College of Music in Boston MA. He majored in guitar while enrolled in the Instrumental Performance  Program at Berklee College Of Music. Valuable work experience came from his contributions to Sigma Sound Studios, Queen Village  Studios and NFL Films prior to opening his first 4-track operation in 1979. Fordyce, an analog veteran, has  engineered and produced recording projects in numerous genres, including rock, pop, heavy metal, acoustic as  well as doing media and voice-over work. Working with musicians and artists across diverse disciplines and styles deeply influences his work and career direction. Fordyce believes that versatile producing and  engineering in collaboration with the artist are the keys to a successful recording. Fordyce, an analogue veteran, has engineered and produced recording projects in numerous genres, including rock, pop, heavy metal, acoustic as well as doing media and voice-over work. Working with musicians and artists across diverse disciplines and styles deeply influences his work and recording mindset. Fordyce believes that versatile producing and engineering in collaboration with the artist are the keys to a successful recording. Ken shares his knowledge of recording by teaching the Practical Audio Recording Course (PARC since 1986), by being a mentor for the Recording Connection (since 2005) apprenticeship program, and teaching an introductory workshop through the University of Washington’s Experimental College (since 1998). Ken Fordyce is also a Advisory Board Member at Edmonds Community College Music and Recording Program.
