Description
Inpatient psychiatric care is available at Harborview to people who need immediate and intensive mental health care. Staffed by an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers, chemical dependency counselors, pharmacists, recreational therapists, occupational therapists, and peer support specialists, we offer both voluntary and involuntary admissions for people experiencing a broad range of severe and persistent psychotic and mood disorders, substance use disorders, and personality disorders. Please note: Patients must first be evaluated in an emergency room before they can be admitted to the inpatient psychiatry unit. The unit is staffed 24 hours a day. Visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
