• Drug & Alcohol Detox

  Northbound’s Orange County medical detox center located in Southern California is overseen by Medical Director, Dr. Edward Kaufman, former president of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry with over 40 years of experience as an addiction psychiatrist, and Dr. Kristen Schmidt. We offer around-the-clock supervision and therapeutic services to make the experience as safe, comfortable, and motivating as possible for a premier alcohol and drug detox residents can rely on.

• Residential Treatment

  Northbound’s California Residential Treatment Centers are designed to support participants through the treatment experience. Our success rates at our rehab program are due to our InVivo® model, which empowers everyone to interact with the outside world with all of its challenges, while in a safe and supportive clinical setting. Our inpatient programs in Newport Beach, San Diego, Garden Grove, and across California help save lives.

• Partial Hospitalization

  The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Northbound Treatment in Orange County is often the ideal next step in the journey to sustainable sobriety. This level of care is generally recommended following residential treatment and preceding intensive outpatient treatment as it provides more freedom and independence while still offering consistent support.

• Intensive Outpatient

  Northbound Treatment Center understands that recovery is a highly personal, ever-evolving journey. We have challenged ourselves and the status quo to offer as many program options as possible to be able to truly meet each client where they are. Our substance abuse and mental treatment programs in California (Orange County and Newport Beach) provide an intermediate step between our IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) and Addiction Support Services Programs.

• Sober Living

  Sober living homes in Orange County, California – or elsewhere throughout the country – are a stepping stone to bridge the gap between treatment and full immersion back into the community. Alcohol addiction or drug abuse are a difficult yet achievable challenge to overcome and a sober living program strives to make the effort worth it, as it focuses on relapse prevention and provides recovering addicts with the tools they need to achieve a sober life. At a sober living house, clients are responsible for themselves and their actions, but they have the support of others who are in recovery as well as staff and structure to hold them accountable.

• Online Treatment

  We provide customized programs that allow you to go to treatment without leaving your home. We offer individual therapy, psychiatry, and group therapy all from home! Online substance abuse treatment allows for individuals to seek an addiction treatment solution without leaving their home. All therapy and treatment is done through their phone, computer or other virtual device.

  Hopelessness is a feeling most families find themselves experiencing when a loved one is struggling with alcoholism or drug abuse. Many individuals feel totally helpless when faced with a friend or family member’s addiction. When a person is suffering from alcohol or drug addiction, the effects of that problem spread to every area of his or her life. Addiction affects people physically, emotionally, and mentally. It causes people to experience changes in their bodies and minds. This leads to behavioral changes and shifts in a person’s social life.

  Northbound provides support through every stage of early recovery. From detox through continued support, we help individuals develop a healthy and sober lifestyle by assisting outside within and outside the supervised treatment environment.

• Alumni

  The Northbound Treatment Alumni Association is a vibrant organization created to maintain a bridge between Northbound, its alumni, and their families. When participating in a treatment program like Northbound, you formulate a life in recovery while constantly supported by your clinical team and peers. They offer guidance and advice, friendship and empathy. They become your family. Northbound has seen empirically that people have a greater chance of succeeding in recovery if they can maintain those bonds. Northbound’s robust Alumni Association is a testament to this belief system. We host weekly meetings and plan regular fun events, allowing everyone to provide support to one another while on their recovery journeys.
