Oncology and hematology patients were a patient population that I became interested in when I first started my nursing career. I am focused on addressing issues related to cancer care. A cancer diagnosis can have an all-encompassing impact on a patient's life where a lot of what's going on is out of their control. Through patient education, compassion and communication, we can give back some of that control and provide a better quality of life.
